Today our wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty. This is such a thrill for me! After obsessively following SMP everyday throughout our 11 month engagement, it is so surreal to see our big day on the front page!

When you’re planning your wedding, there is a latent pressure to plan it “perfectly”. You stalk the blogs, spend hours upon hours on Etsy, and create Pinterest boards. You don’t realize perfection so easy to achieve: it’s inevitable.

The most liberating feeling is waking up on the morning of your wedding and just knowing it will be perfect. It’s the day you marry your best friend, the day you start your own family, the day forever begins. No amount of rain (or in my case 100 degree weather) can affect that. So while I am really happy and honored to have my wedding featured, just seeing my pictures gives me the greatest satisfaction. They immediately remind me of every perfect emotion I felt that day, June 11, 2011.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Mine was great. Since both Jon and my families live so close to each other, we’re always able to spend to spend quality time with everyone we love.

Today I finally get to play with all my goodies. One of my favorite gifts is Carolyna Pro font [This blog has proven very effective - My husband and mom paid close attention to my many gift suggestions ; ) ] In an effort to see this script in action, I spent some time this morning designing some personal watercolor-esque notecards for my mom.

Kathleen + Gus, the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Today is the first day it actually feels like Christmas to me. I am baking cookies, wrapping presents, and listening to Christmas music. Ok, maybe I’m not “baking” cookies so much as “eating” cookies, but still. It’s a happy day and I’m loving it!

I have over 100 burlap bags leftover from my wedding this summer and I am happy to have finally found a use for them! My lack of desire to face the chaos that is Target today caused me to make these gift tags. I’m inadvertently going green with wrapping this year!
