Today is the first day it actually feels like Christmas to me. I am baking cookies, wrapping presents, and listening to Christmas music. Ok, maybe I’m not “baking” cookies so much as “eating” cookies, but still. It’s a happy day and I’m loving it!

I have over 100 burlap bags leftover from my wedding this summer and I am happy to have finally found a use for them! My lack of desire to face the chaos that is Target today caused me to make these gift tags. I’m inadvertently going green with wrapping this year!
Hope you’re having a cheery day, too! XOXO

I finally finished my holiday shopping yesterday. I always feel so relieved and rewarded once I’ve checked everything off my list. At least until I remember I have to wrap. UGH!
For some reason, I personally do not like traditional wrapping paper. I prefer simple, unconventional gift wrap. I stock up on rolls of plain kraft paper and twine at a local hardware or office supply store and I actually end up (unintentionally) saving a lot of money. Around this time of year, my presents are guaranteed to stick out in a sea of bright, glittery wrapping paper. I think it makes the gift seem more thoughtful and full of TLC.
I love these simple, sweet ideas I came across on Pinterest:

Happy Wrapping!

If you are looking for some unique pieces of art for your home, you must check out Carter Kustera! This Brooklyn silhouette artist is my personal favorite. Kustera makes custom paintings to represent ALL the members of your household.

Whenever Jon (my hubs) and I start our little family, this will be our first big purchase. I love the idea of lining them all up in a mud room or up a staircase to showcase the fun, quirky side of your family. Simply put, these just make me really, really happy : )
